Blew a seal on the driver side axle tube in the process There's always something.

Going through my car last weekend after the VIR Superfest Weekend, I also had a driver side axle seal leaking/weeping. Went ahead and replace both of them while I was in there. Yes, there will always be something.

Bill - I too had the same seal issue last weekend at BIR and got the meatball flag due to smoke in my passenger rear wheel.

When we were at LVMS for the 50th there was a 302R in our run group. I talked to the owner and he came across as a bit of a poser so Fat Boss, Moto and I went out with him one session. My son was laughing when I said I wanted to see if I could hang with him because he had seen him on the track but didn't tell me how fast he was going. Needless to say he was the fastest car out there and was flying. I couldn't stay with him for even one corner. :

I met Jim (in the 302S) last year and couldn't hang with him on this track. Coil-overs fixed that

The Z/28 is being driven by Jason who I met at Gingerman -- we had some great to and fro there and were pretty evenly matched. This was his first trip to Mid O, and he's now looking at picking up a 2013 302S ;D

I ran with a 302R last October -- it's going to take more than the coil-overs to stay with that ...... :'(

VIR (Superfest 2014) - Improved a great deal from Saturday with a best time of 2:20.57 to a 2:16.50 on Sunday. It was only my 3rd time at the track.

Adam (Flyboygsxr) and Steve (Pufferfish) can fly around that track with their stock setups on Conti's. I'm gonna need a few more days there before I can even think of breaking in to the 2:10's or below!

Went to Thompson speedway last week to run the Boss for the first time. It's stock with the track key. Car was quick but did not like the three year old stock tires. It was weird they were squealing around the corners. stock front end is pretty soft. needs a good alignment for the track. Rear stayed under the car all day. after the second session it started to grind 5th gear. Did one more session it got worse so I loaded it up and went home. Going to the dealer Tuesday. Matt

Matt - I assume it was you who I talked to for a couple mins in the morning. Hope the car gets sorted. I developed a rear brake issue later in the day. Got it sorted though today. Hope I catch up wih you again at Thompson. The track was a blast. I'm headed there again on July 22
