Buried on page 508 of the 2,702 page infrastructure bill is a pilot program for a national motor vehicle per-mile user fee (MBUF) which is basically a long-term plan to make it too expensive to drive a car,” Short said Tuesday on Twitter.

They are no longer “Democrats”. That’s a misnomer now and a sheep skin cover for the Socialist/Communist bastards they really are.

That user mileage tax is a major tax on low income families too. Another Biden crime family lie.

List of current Biden Crime family and Socialist controlled Congress accomplishments and efforts:

Spending us into oblivion
Run away inflation ( a tax on everyone)
Tax increases on the “rich” and corporations which again trickle down to the average Joe and further push companies overseas again costing tax rev
Attempting federal take over of elections
Critical Crap theory being pumped into our children’s brains and the military.
Destroying our borders to import new “we want free stuff” voters from South America. Compare treatment of Cuban refugees who are really fleeing persecution
Allowing thousands upon thousands of “we want “free stuff” voters into the country with COVID putting our own citizens in danger for their own selfish purpose to keep power.
Threatening new lock downs and mask mandates vaccine or not.
Refusal and failure to hold the bastard Chinese Communist Party accountable.
Constant effort to crush the second amendment yet defunding police and destroying law and order.
Double standard on justice and application of prosecution for crimes.
Endorsement of all this woke bullshit.
Trying to kiss up to Iran and re- enter the Iran Nuc deal instead of strangling the bastards further.

Unless people start standing up and putting an end to this crap your Country is kaput

What is the point of this? I'm sure they would say for environmental reasons but they're already pushing 100% electric cars by 2035. Would electric car drivers also have to pay this fee? Is this really just a power grab to make people as dependent on Big Brother as possible?
Pretty soon we'll have to pay a fee to use the bathroom

I don't think there will be a free ride for Electric Cars as States like Illinois are already pursuing taxes , etc. since the vehicles use the same roads as everyone else. I have no doubt all vehicles are going to be under some form of taxation since fuel taxes alone would never be able to sustain highway, bridge construction, etc. and as more and more electrics or hybrids hit the market there will be new measures for them to pay their fair share.

Yes they figured out that all that gas tax revenue (about $.26 a gal) will at some point be lost so they need to replace that with this kind of stuff. When was the last time the Gov't gave up a source of revenue?

Get a lot of stuff from the Democratic Party and the Republican Party as I am one of those folks who still tries to vote for who I think will do a solid job for us - amazing both sides just send tons of " Fear " propaganda now ! Pork Barrel politics has been around my entire lifetime and though, like any reasonable person, I do not like it, I also realize often many provisions do not even make a real impact. Hard for me to get excited about one " Pilot Program " which is just that , because there are likely other provisions in the Bill I won't like, but I am absolutely frustrated with decades of inactivity by both parties in getting some infrastructure started for our crumbling highways, bridges , etc. Seems like friends all over the Country have severe problems with roads, etc.in their States and if the parties can compromise, great let's get started. It won't be perfect, none of us will like everything , but I am getting very tired of no movement.

It is somewhat troubling that we continue, as US citizens, to worry about some realistically small issues while failing to realize the hacking, ransom attacks, and cyberwar of propaganda coming from our enemies. Conquer from within, such a staple of how to defeat your enemies, and more and more we are becoming numb to attacks from outside while we worry about little things from within that often never happen.

That all said , since my favorite President of the past decades was Ronnie , it seems humorous to me that so many have forgotten his tax packages when Corporate paid much higher taxes than now. I feel like the American public has been given the Kool Aid that we should not tax " Large Corporations " at a level still much lower than Reagan days, because we have been led to believe there is a trickle down effect. When huge corporations spent money ( from Pandemic funds ) to buy back stock we should have all woken up. I am tired of the tax burden I pay and I feel no one ( business or individual ) should be able to pay virtually nothing ---- I am not willing to subsidize companies making billions.

Like many on here I am not very pleased with Congress or the House of Representatives , and I have not been for decades, but like life where we have to compromise so I am hopeful we can begin some negotiations , because the fighting within is only assisting our enemies from without ----Russia and China we know are hacking us incessantly, but we are too busy to worry about this because we fight over many smaller issues. We need to unite against those outside causing discourse, because they are winning a silent war by spreading propaganda that should cause logical folks to question, imho.

What’s ironic is all of the current infrastructure was built on $1.25 gasoline and $3/hr minimum wages. So one has to wonder, where is today’s exponentially higher pot of money being spent now if it can’t even afford maintaining what’s largely in place??

Good thoughts 67, but once we factor in the value of money today, constant new building of roads, bridges, etc. to accommodate a growing population, the decades of delays have created a nightmare of catching up for all of us. Read years back about how current funding from fuel taxes, State and Federal taxes/monies, were barely enough to build new structures for our growing Nation, it is no wonder we can't afford maintaining what is in place as you have noted.

I still agree with Reagan that term limits hurt the American people as it limits choice. What if you want to keep that representative?

But gerrymandering has offset that power of choice. The House of Representatives needs to have term limits hammered upon them.

But it’s the Congressional House of Representatives that would have to introduce & pass legislation to accomplish term limits.

They will never do it with the current Uni-Party setup. Just follow the money.

Yea, term limits, Newt Gingrich promised term limits with the "Contract For America" back in 1994...........and that was probably the last time that was brought up.

Yeah, it would be wonderful to see the Executive Branch, through the Supreme Court, sue the Legislative branch.

Hey, if the Executive is stuck with term limits so should the Legislative :D

I agree with much you wrote, but this is where the dirty little secret lies. Corporations essentially don’t pay those taxes - Their tax burden is built right into the price of products and services they sell. You and I pay those taxes indirectly. And if a corporation still can’t compete with those in other nations with lower rates, they will move overseas.

We also would be much better off without any capital gains tax. The Federal government is the worst middle-man on Earth. And proponents of high taxation never seem to understand that human behavior changes when tax laws change, or that growing the economy with low or no taxes is the best way to fund the government. Almost every single time capital gains taxes have been raised, the amount of capital gains tax actually collected *goes down*. And I think most Americans would be stunned to know that after the first full year of Trump’s tax cuts, the federal government pulled in MORE tax money than in the previous year.

Real economic growth doesn’t occur in a climate of high-taxation. It is absurd to think that a nation can tax itself into prosperity. We are far better off with all this money left in the economy. Rather than demonizing the success of individuals and corporations, we should all be wanting more of it.

I lived in a county that went bankrupt because of poor management of the tax payers money. Their solution was to tax everything to pay for it, I no longer live there as well as alot of others.

Businesses left, never to return. They absolutely killed their tax base and will always be broke until they get wise and fix what they broke.

Moral of the story is rich people/corporations do not need America to succeed, though people of lesser means will be stuck here to deal with the consequences the politicians create.

The Hell you say. LOL. It almost sounds like you believe the rich will simply live off the money they already have if businesses are taxes beyond profitability. Strange... Why wouldn't they want to invest in a loosing cause??
I was once asked how many jobs I have had working for a poor man. Besides the government, none.

I work in Mississippi now. Same state where Edelbrock, Holley and others are moving to. Why move here?? Because the State is forgiving the majority of direct taxation to the businesses who move here. They prefer to get the secondary taxes, sales tax, employee income tax and such....for now. Who would have thunk it?? With e-commerce growing and Fedex just up the road, why not move here?
