Drove by the Tesla factory this morning on our way home from Santa Clara. I hope to have our M3 in a couple of weeks. Just as we passed we saw an M3 and Mustang. I’m hoping that’s a good sign.

I'm kicking around the idea of replacing my Fusion Energi with a Model 3. My Fusion gets kicked out of the HOV lane at the end of the year.

Starting in 2019 in CA only EV’s and FC cars will qualify for the HOV lanes.

The bottom line is the HOV lanes have to average a certain speed to continue to get federal funding. Since the speeds are dropping so much, they have to weed out some of them.

Not sure what you mean by a No Occupancy Vehicle lane, but the silver lining in your travel plans is you'll be going counter-commute to Fremont.

yep, that's my take. Did you see Rick's F1 vs an autonomous F1 video above? pretty kool. AVs are still a long way off though.

Driver assist sounds great....except for them damned people. They seem to think assist means autonomous. I am sure during the last few seconds of their life they realize they may have miscalculated. Let’s hope the tech catches up before the bad press kills the idea.
