I'm not overly familiar with that episode but will have to look it up.

UPDATE: Totally unrelated to the other issue which seems to be fixed, the car is throwing the dreaded P0442 code... again. Going to have to replace the EVAP line to the canister AGAIN. Apparently my repair job last tyme to prevent the hose from contacting the exhaust pipe has failed... AGAIN.
I have that code fairly often. Before you spend any money on parts, try a simple trick. Completely tape off the filler cap on your gas tank. If the code goes away, it’s a leak at the flap/door. Ford has had better ideas than the no cap gas fill. The seal between the flap door leaks OFTEN. A little WD-40 sprayed into the filler while “exercising” the flapper usually cleans it out for me. Code goes away for months to a year. Then rinse and repeat.
 
Yep. I know the routine too well. It didn't seem to help as the code pops back up in short order. I replaced the EVAP hose back in 2021 and it seemed to help for a while which leads me to believe my attempt to keep the end of the hose from touching the exhaust failed along the way. I did wrap the exhaust in that area but I can see the damage at the end of the hose again. I need to do a better job securing it away from the exhaust. I've already replaced the fuel vapor line valve at intake and I have a spare fuel filler neck assembly I bought years ago but never put in. If anything, my determination is unwavering.
 
Howdy fellow Mustang fans. Been awhile but happy to say the car is running great with one little exception. I cannot get the car O2 sensors to read to pass inspection. No codes and even after performing countless drive cycles, they do not read. I read somewhere that it could be the O2 sensors themselves or possibly a weak battery. Sweet Lorraine is on a battery tender IV between rides, which isn't often but I still think I have a parasitic draw that I haven't been able to identify. I changed out the O2 sensors last year so I don't think that's the issue. Any of you fine folks out here have any thoughts?

Wiring maybe? Could lift up the car and check voltage on the connectors...

If it's a parasitic draw, maybe you could try logging the car while hooked up to the battery tender. Make the power a non-issue?

I have the same issue with O2 sensors. I have changed sensors 3 times. It helped earlier, nit now. It’s likely a Cat problem. I have a set of fouler I am going to try. Not holding my breath

What did you find regarding your electric gremlins!
 
Hey Tracy, good to hear from you.

It was the Instrument Cluster Module which shorted out. The part has been discontinued so I sent it out twice to have the board solder reflowed and it finally fixed that issue. That and the EVAP (P0442) issues are solved. I also got a P2107 code thrown but I sorted that as well.
The only issue remaining now is when I run the I/M on my reader, the two O2 tests are reading INC which need to be ready before the emission tests. I've run the drive cycle several tymes which did get the CATs to read but not the O2s.
BTW, I understand that every tyme you disconnect the battery or clear codes, you need to do this drive cycle. I'm sure there's a good reason to do this, but it pisses me off.
Since I replaced the O2 sensors last fall, I'm going to try a new battery first. Although the car would start, the battery was testing at about 10.5V.

I endeavor to persevere.

My money’s on the battery. The emissions cycle is very sensitive to any voltage drop during the cycle. I had the same fight and a new battery fixed it first shot.
