Spending my pension on car parts and track fees.
I have that code fairly often. Before you spend any money on parts, try a simple trick. Completely tape off the filler cap on your gas tank. If the code goes away, it’s a leak at the flap/door. Ford has had better ideas than the no cap gas fill. The seal between the flap door leaks OFTEN. A little WD-40 sprayed into the filler while “exercising” the flapper usually cleans it out for me. Code goes away for months to a year. Then rinse and repeat.I'm not overly familiar with that episode but will have to look it up.
UPDATE: Totally unrelated to the other issue which seems to be fixed, the car is throwing the dreaded P0442 code... again. Going to have to replace the EVAP line to the canister AGAIN. Apparently my repair job last tyme to prevent the hose from contacting the exhaust pipe has failed... AGAIN.
