Thanks! But the static 'stance' isn't setup to look so great. I'm not running taller ball joints and bumpsteer, so I started the front suspension geometry at close to the stock Boss height. So the front LCAs are pretty close to level. The car felt great compared to my old setup with LS struts and Boss shocks on P springs.

Good news is that even with my crap driving and a new setup, I netted a 3 second gain over my last time there on R-S3s. And that was with a passenger and a hay bale kink/gate that was added on the downhill back straight (CW). So I'm pretty well sold on CorteX/JRi and takeoff Pirellis!
3 seconds first time out...Very nice! Congrats

Laid out the back end of my exhaust upgrade. Wanna get a feel for the install before I do the work at the DIY shop next Friday. Borla O/A - MRT H-Pipe - QTEC cutouts - Kooks Boss 302 side-pipes

The headers (Not Pictured) are Kooks Super Street Shorties 1-7/8 - Calico CoolBlack ceramic coated.

Leaving the OEM cats in for now.

That's a great shot!

Picked up my Boss from CorteX today, their shop is at Sonoma Raceway. Also went over 20,000 miles on the drive home.

Heres a few shots of my new tire set up. 295/30/19 & 305/30/19 wrapped on our Seven Forged 5 spoke monoblocks 19x10 & 19x11. We added real raised rubber decals and if you want some for any tire I have them pm me.

Re: What did you do to your boss today?

Installed my Peterson Oil can bracket provided by j3st3r. Had to lower the can but it fits great and is much more sturdy that my chicken wing pan bracket. Thank's j3st3r!

Re: What did you do to your boss today?

I added a CJ intake and a SCJ throttle body and an oil catch can to go along with the KOOKS long tube headers. It's AED in Cameron Park on the DYNO now:)

Re: What did you do to your boss today?

Got these last night along with a set of springs. Waiting on seals, retainers and keepers to assemble my Boss heads. I love engine parts.

Valves_zpsyldeiibu.jpg

These are now out of production so if you need them start beating the bushes. Manley has aftermarket stainless sets but they aren't sodium filled like OEM.

Re: What did you do to your boss today?

Does sodium filled make it that much better. i would think a very high grade Titanium or SS would be the best. can i please get educated on the big deal with sodium filled valves. is there any differance from them such as Corinthian leather...Lol

i understand that they say its for heat. But removing the center of the valves to fill them with sodium leaves them weaker in strength....No? Do race teams use them? i just keep thinking that a solid Titanium or Stainless valve would be more user friendley by lasting longer and stronger.

Sodium in metallic form (cold temperature) is solid, when heated it liquifies (97.8 degC) and transfers heat from hot(valve head) to colder (stem, guide, head casting, coolant) this keeps the valve head cooler. The valves are also lighter than solid stainless for higher rpm capability. This technology was used in 1965 as part of Ford's 427 NASCAR engine program in the "7000 rpm kit". I have not heard of any OEM Boss valve failures and know of a few people that have reused them in rebuilds after other failures.

Re: What did you do to your boss today?

Thanks steveespo, never thought about the higher RPM range. I also have to agree that I never heard of any Valve failures...Only springs. I guess time would of told by now. What I dont understand is if they are that much better for racing then why would they stop making them. The 50 motor is huge in the mustang world. hopefully they can become an aftermarket part with the same quality as Ford Racing / Performance ;D.

Took out the old...

And put in most of the new...

2012%20Boss%20302%20Mustang%20884_zps1l1ipva8.jpg

Still need to wire up the QTP cutouts and bolt on the tips of the Kooks side pipes.
