The brakes had ~41+k miles, 5 race tracks/3+ track hours and ~2+ auto cross hours. The passenger rear pads were TOAST, leading to a damaged rotor. It's what finally got me off my dead ass to do all this work.....the parts have been in my garage for a full year.
Here's another trick. When you buy new rotors have them cryogenically frozen at a heat treater.
There is a place I use in the bay area if you are out this way or find one near you but I get 4 rotors done for around 125.00 and the rotors last many many times longer so its a no brainer.
I used to get 2 track days out of front rotors, now they last a whole season of w2w.

@Fabman - as you'll notice from my pictures, the front rings now on the car are used. However, I have a fresh set in boxes. I'll get those to a shop to get treated. Any specifics I should mention when calling them??

Thanks.

They should be familiar with the process, it’s actually a very common deal.

The shop local to me is not familiar with the process at all. I'll have to call around to places in Los Angeles to see if any shops there know.
This is who I use, he does all the NASCAR teams etc. might be worth shipping them there.

Save your money on the auto blip.
FWIW- if you put a spacer under the GAS PEDAL about .5 -.75" it will raise the pedal up enough to make blipping the throttle very easy and simple. Auto-blip almost killed me two times and they took no action. The way they tested it was as worthless as a 3 dollar bill. The answer was. "I put it in my are car the lights worked. Its OK".

Plus doing a heel toe on your own adds to a nice sense of driving skills.
I am at the point of no return here. It came in the mail yesterday. Bought and paid for. I’m sorry you had a bad experience. Hopefully mine is not the same. I know there are a lot of people who are very happy with the product as well.
And I hear you about heel to toe. I’ve been working on it and getting a little bit better at it. And I do plan to keep trying at it. Skills like that are dying with technology such as what I bought , and with what is coming standard with vehicles these days. But I’m not going to be racing competitively. Track days and It’s just a fun hobby. I might get out to the track six times a summer tops per year. I just want to drive the car and have fun. I’d rather use that mental bandwidth of heal to toe, and focus on my braking zone, picking my lines and having fun.

Have fun and hope it does work out for you. I also hope youre not too big cause its a j job that even a dwarf would complain about there not being enough room. :p

I am not a super big guy. 5’11/190. @blacksheep-1 advised me to just save myself some headache and remove the driver seat. So I’m just gonna go ahead and adhere to his advice.

Some good info here if you get stuck

Thank you so much! I have zero doubt I will probably need this! Hahaha

New FRPP coil pack installed! Tomorrow the manifold comes off and I'll replace manifold gaskets and fuel injectors. Nothing special just stock Ford ones. Gaskets are Fel-pro. Couldn't get the Ford ones in time.

New MAF sensor arrives Monday. After that I'll have gotten everything that could cause my fuel trim issue except the fuel lines... got new pcv valves as well.

Installed an auto blip. What a pain in the ass.!! Hahaha!
I was a little stumped and doubting myself so I left a message and I got a phone call right away putting my mind ant ease. And then the gentleman walked me through the calibration process. What terrific customer service! .
The install was a success. Took it for a little bit of a test drive. I’ll have to find tuna on July 28 when I go to the track again.

How’s the brake pedal feel?

After a full day of driving yesterday (~200mi), I cannot discern a pedal difference from stock - can still roll onto the throttle for a proper rev-matched downshift, even during some, ehem, spirited driving - brake pedal height is about the same. Admittedly, that may change when on track.

I like the Gloc pads but found the R12's did not last very long if pushed at the track. R16's are what I use now.

Thanks for the info. FWIW, others have mentioned the same thing to me, so I'm prepared for it. I have a new set of front rings in boxes (current rings are used). At some point, I'll R&R the rings and go with R16s. That will come after I make a final decision on seats/harnesses/rollbar - I cannot push this car like I did in my former racecar when still using stock seats and 3 point factory seatbelts.

Parts list (all from Summit):
1) FRA-602614-24BL - "EXT"-extreme black covered AN-6 straight x 45 degree black aluminum nut <---- NO, don't use this length!

For those keeping score at home, an update is needed.

The 24" hose was a wee bit too long so a 20" hose went in. Much better. I also added some wire loom wrap to further protect the hose.

That's my news. 🍻
