Here's another trick. When you buy new rotors have them cryogenically frozen at a heat treater.This is the way.

The brakes had ~41+k miles, 5 race tracks/3+ track hours and ~2+ auto cross hours. The passenger rear pads were TOAST, leading to a damaged rotor. It's what finally got me off my dead ass to do all this work.....the parts have been in my garage for a full year.
There is a place I use in the bay area if you are out this way or find one near you but I get 4 rotors done for around 125.00 and the rotors last many many times longer so its a no brainer.
I used to get 2 track days out of front rotors, now they last a whole season of w2w.
