yesterday I did some unintentional off roading in my 2014 V6. I’ll list the regular list of excuses for what happened like it was the last session of the day and my tires were on their last legs and probably had some red mist chasing down my dad in front of me. But the reality is, the saying don’t lift isn’t a joke it’s real. Just like sudden lift off snap oversteer…

Gonna be doing some rear end upgrades and replacements in the next coming weeks/ months
T2 Torsen LSD
3.55 gears
BMR adjustable panhard bar
UPR adjustable lower control arms
18mm rear sway bar (probably)
And whatever other shiny new parts I can find for good deals

In the end. This is why I drive a Mustang. Parts are pretty easy to find

Muted the video cause of some colorful expletives as I watched the berm get larger and larger

Woah! That’s in there deep! Glad you made it out safe and the car looks relatively unscathed for as bad as it could have been.

Could definitely have been worse. I’m pretty sure I Bent the axel tube so gonna have to source one but I think a local junk yard has one. Gonna find out this week
I however did not realized how expensive 13/14 tail lights were!

Dang Tim, sorry about the mishap but sure glad you were not hurt too bad! Looks like you can get her back in shape reasonably easy and do keep us posted on your progress. Hang in there my friend.

The 13-14 tail lights are the one thing that I really don't like about my car. They don't really have that classic Mustang 3-bar look. These are a much better looking option:
Oooooh okay yea I like those. May get a set of them rather then another OEM set
Thanks!

I drove it 320 miles. Did the Cherohala Shyway, Fontana Dam, and The Dragon. Really lite traffic on both. I saw a motorcycle and a suv going my way on the skyway. That is almost fifty miles! I could have driven the complete dragon with no one in front of me but I stopped to talk to one of the photographers. I got called out because I crossed the lane in a curve to stop. I think
it was Killboy himself and He was right and I agreed with him. It was a good day. When I checked the pictures today a black 2012 LS passed thru about 45 minutes after me. I think that so cool because these cars are getting rare. To finish the Dragon I was followed by a Nissan Z car we had some fun.

No photos? Not from while you were driving obviously, but from the stops you made? I love seeing the photos of all the cool driving spots.

Ran by my mechanic to check on my car today and ran into this beauty

Love it. I'm guessing it's a tribute car, as I don't believe the Boss 302 came with side scoops behind the door handles. Regardless, I'd love to have it. I've always wanted a '69 or '70... or a '67-68... or.... my list is pretty long.

Replaced the OEM diff cover with a Ford Performance finned special. Didn't realize I would need to drop the panhard bar for it to fit. Remembered I had to drop the stabilizer bar to drop the panhard bar. Drove to the speed shop to buy longer bolts and washers for the thicker casting. Found the FP bolts in the box after I finished the work. Easy peasy.
