I have a 2019 mustang GT PP1. Planning on doing a couple of HPDE events next year and maybe squeeze 1 event later this year. This car is duel-use also for autocross and driving the car to meets/shows. i dont daily it. I'm in the NE so NJMP, Lime Rock, Pocono, Watkins, Thompson are my go to tracks. NJMP being the one ill mainly go to. Will be purchasing 315 squared Potenza RE-71-RZs on 18" apexes for next year to use for both HPDE and autocross. Currently on Conti Extreme Contact sport 02s PP1 wheels as my street tire. I hear Hawks are great, but the more i read into the different brands, i might not like the instant on/off feel i've read Hawks say they provide. Whereas the GLOC pads are more progressive which suits what ive tended to like more in a brake feel. i was thinking of leaving my OEM pads on for street and autocross and put the track GLOCs on for HPDE, but than i read i need to clean rotors cuz of different compounds. So now im thinking i buy 2 sets; GLOC for street/autocross and another for HPDE so i dont have to clean rotors. Which pads should i get, just tryna give the reader as much context. If theres another brand thats equal performance and feel for better cost or wear let me know. im not a track rat, im not chasing tenths. i want good feel and something that doesnt kill my rotors. reasonable minimal maintence
