Longacre Pro digital, all day long 0 to 60 psi
It has 2 dump valves on it so it doesn't take forever to set pressures.
They also make a semi pro with 1 dump that I use as a backup that's less expensive.

That is the one I am using as well.

The problem with the mechanical gauges is that they are only accurate in one spot ( such as between 10 to 15 psi) because the coil spring inside the gauge that the air pressure pushes on is not linear. It will read correctly on the low, middle or high range, but not across the board. You can tweak them to read correctly in the area that is important to you, but they will be off elsewhere. They also have difficulty reading less that .5 psi, which sounds like no big deal, but those .5s can add up at the end of the day and you can be off easily from 1 to 3 psi.
This is all I have right now. I know its a cheap gauge and only good for maybe 0.5 lb ... Surprisingly though I've tested it against a longacer and it's been spot on. I'll get something better down the road. A long time ago I heard that the sweet sport for accuracy on an analog gauge is in the mid range like 25 -35 on a 0-60 gauge. Is that what you are referring to? Thanks.

Generally mechanicals are better in the middle, and not so good on the high and low side, but that can be altered on the more expensive mechanical gauges.
1psi increments just doesn't get the job done at the level that I work in.

At the high level you work Blacksheep, you need super accuracy with the Pro Teams you work for. We all know you are in high demand by those teams and are a huge part of the success they have. So for all those super fast dudes out there , listen to the Gumball Guru as he knows tires, but for those like me running in the quick Social Security Racing League, the Intercomp gauge comes in a big numeral edition ---- heh, I can barely read those giant numerals with my bifocals , tenths would be nearly impossible. I also use this comment to scare new drivers who figure they better get out of my way since maybe I can't see them too well ,ha.

Those digital gauges are great until the battery dies. Just saying...
Hence the backup gauge and spare batteries in the box on pit wall. It's the first thing I check every race day morning.
FWIW if you use the Longacre pyrometer, you have about 30 seconds to change the battery before it goes hooters up on you, when the low voltage alarm goes off. So unless the car is coming down pit road, change the battery ..right now.

That is why I use the Longacre pro and carry extra batteries. The numbers are big and easier to read than an analog gauge.

Huh, Tyme, well what is it, analog or digital , you have me confused. PS - I can't get a Digital one because I will probably not have the right battery and if you are not at the same event I won't have anyone there who comes more prepared than I often seem to be, ha. Tyme's extra nuts saved a race for me -----heh, talking lug nuts you dirty minded Trackrats.

Believe you need to correct your spellcheck , as it put down savoy ( funky little cabbage ) instead of savvy, which I believe describes your Pit Bull's attributes more succinctly.
