You just have those Borlas and a Xpipe?? I have a mini Dynamax before the Xpipe. a longer Dynaflow race glass pack between the Xpipe and the H pipe, then another mini before the Dynamax ultraflow muffler.... then a 90 Degree turndown... whole lot of extra weight!!!

All else being equal, a muffler with a larger case will always be quieter than a muffler with a smaller case in the same length. So lots of thin mufflers probably won’t equal one big case muffler and one big case muffler will almost certainly out perform it.

Ahh, thats very cool, I forgot about your setup... I think the KISS theory just kicked me!
It’s a place to start, then if that’s still not enough you can add a resonator upstream. Just my 2 cents.

Also, the more distance between the motor and the muffler, the better.

I’ll throw another similar option out there. I used two Borla ProXS mufflers which are generally regarded as quieter than xr1’s. Mine is plenty quiet, though not had it to Laguna yet for the real test. They’re cheap too, worth a look at. Also there are a couple resonated h pipe mid mufflers that you might want to look at as well. The large case volume should bring down the sound more than the various bottle style resonators you currently have.

Some viable options here.:

What I would like to see is the actual ID of the cores.
Most of the 3" oval style mufflers I have seen have 3" connectors, but the core inside is smaller to further attenuate sound. 2.5" mufflers typically do not neck down. Looking at these pictures it appears that the do indeed neck down just as they enter the muffler body....but I don't know for sure without having one in my hand.

That little bulge where it enters the body is a swage, and the inlet is pressed into it, so the actual core is smaller than that. This is probably a 2 1/2" core...possible 2 3/4" but doubtful that its 3".

You need to just tell those Chileans that 103dbas kills Covid germs!!!!
You see Pedro, the Coyote emits a very specific frequency at 8000 rpm and 104 db that disrupts reproduction of the Covid virus....so you need to pay us to come to the track and save those people in the bleachers.

...it will be standing room only. LOL.

Now that is appropriate Fab, quoting another Nebraskan who understands mufflers are only a fashion statement for wimpy
folks who have to wrap their necks when the weather is chilly --- or is that Chile!?

What, you didn't know is ole Larry just lives down the road from me , you should not be surprised as I have been accused of being a bit........................ corny !
