From my vendor, he's been great unlike Ford Racing;
"Hey I just got a call from Ford Racing saying they are recalling the intakes . At high rpm and low throttle you can get a bad vacuum leak. Let me know if you want me to pursue this matter for you"

hmm they had lots of problems with their 3V intakes that came out years ago. guess I will hold off for a year or two till they get all the bugs out

is it safe to buy a cj intake if there is a recall. I was about to purchase one, but I dont want to pick one up if they are defective.

Well, if can get one first ;), my suggestion is to wait on the revised versions. I do not think that FR will be selling any of the current batch.

Like many of you I'm anxiously awaiting info and dyno numbers on this new intake. For those that install and tune your cars please post up your results and what other mods you're running. In one of the magazine articles a Ford engineer that worked on the intake stated there was a 25 HP increase with peak power moving up to 7,750 RPM's. The intake will require a different throttle body and tune so I'm not sure how much those two items counted towards the 25 HP if at all but it looks very good. You'll also want the high RPM pulse ring. Here are some links.

Parts list:
CJ Intake
Twin 65MM CJ Throttle Body
123MM Mass Air Flow Sensor
Competition High Rev Pulse Ring
Air Inlet/Filter
Tune

This all sounds good..
However, I noticed some remarks that the CJ intake setup does not fit with the Boss 302 strut brace?

Quoted here from Mustangs Daily:
..."There are a few drawbacks, however. The manifold is not compatible with the Boss 302 strut tower brace,"...

Is this correct??
thx.

Hiya,
Mustangs Daily seems to be saying that this new intake will not fit the Boss due to strut tower brace interference.
- Did I read it wrong?
Anyone know??
Thx.

What CAI did you use or did you have to fabricate?

Btw,
I heard all those intakes were recalled by ford for air leakage.
Is yours ok?

..Also, get any dyno numbers yet?
(& who is your tuner?)
Lastly, I talked to Nick at JDM tuning here in NJ who mentioned that 1 7/8 headers will lose all bottom end on that Coyote motor...
His take was that the 1 3/4 should flow up to 800hp & keep the bottom end intact.
How has the header situation worked out for you?

Finally Many, Many Thanks in advance for any replies here.
This forum and its well-informed participants have been very helpful to me on many occasions.

Fabricated my own CIA, Dyno no's to follow. 500rhwp on pump gas not race fuel
ps Boss motors love 1 7/8 long tubes both motors have over 400 lbft tq @ 3000 rpm @ the flywheel anyway
Tuner is Isaac Performance in New Zealand using SCT
My Manifold is the original composite one, not the new production manifold ( No Leaks )
