Just as an aside, For the 9310 alloys in the Calimer Stage 3 gears, talked to Geforce about what oils to use, and they recommended staying away from Redline, Royal Purple or Lucas because of the additives they use. They use Synergyn or Tribodyn 75w140 mixed with Mobile 1 ATF.

I am sure nothing new here. Stock MT82, 90k miles. Who knows what's in there now. When cold there is a slight notchy feeling going into 2nd and 3rd. Shifts slow as well. Once warmed up seems OK. 1st oil change, trying the BG syncro shift based on the below and some other posts.

Will report findings.

The best tyranny fluid I ran in the MT82 was Motul DCTF. Ran that after the rebuild on the advice of the trans rebuilder. It worked very well. Still have a bunch left if anyone wants some. Can't use it in the tremec. Ford specs Mercon LVF auto trans fluid for the 3160.

I guess you didn’t do much drag/street racing with a manual transmission 🤔🤔 I started drag/street racing at 16 with my 64 Falcon Sprint with 10 bolt top cover 4 speed. I’m 67 now and still shift that way when I run against another acceleration run.
Now for road racing I lift the gas pedal when shifting.

I guess it all depends on the usual variables of weight power tires etc. Even a tremec XL would not last long powershifting at over 7500rpm with +600hp to the tranny in a 3600+ lbs car with slicks. Sure wish it did because the idea of a automatic car leaves me cold. Never mind a supercharged drag mustang with +700rwhp.
