Engine is coming out tonight! feel like a nervous dad. Going to give a hand tomorrow and I know my mechanic will want to change the head gasket and inspect the heads. Since the compression was fine should I just hold him back??? I need the car together and running well for the 24 of Nov when we have our season finally, a three hour race. the more invasive we get the more worried I am!

I'd only tear it apart if I suspected a problem.

Can't he use a borescope to check the valves/heads instead of pulling them?

Will borescope it again just to kee the guy happy... Wants to see inside my engine, have to hold tight to the leash!! Will keep the heads on as nothing seems to be wrong so far....

Usually yes!! But he is a buddy and he is incredibly curious, wants to see inside his first Coyote... No thanks!!! If it aint broke, don't fix it!

Ok. Engine out and hsve some pics tomorrow. Got a bit of a fright when we opened the LM intake cams box and found the cams in COMP cams boxes.... I guess that they were just using the old boxes??

The cams seem to have a longer duration so I guess they are ok....

Maybe Comp does the grind for L&M...Or L&M uses Comp cores and does a regrind on them?
