I used these Titanium 12 point lug nuts. 3.5 oz for titanium. 12.5 oz for the stock

Are these the ones? Do you use the same torque?

8) Did Track Day Solutions make those for you? Also which lug nuts did you use with your Forgestar wheels? I'm looking at these due to the recessed nature of the GT350 front wheels.

I'm using these lug nuts on the Forgestars:

I wanted the numbers to be in the GT350 script. I couldn't find anyone who had that font. Got them made custom, locally. Ended up compromising the aspect ratio (2:1) a bit, otherwise they'd be even wider!!

I use these on my boss with the forgestars, as well. I need to replace them this season.

The right side (passenger side) top outlet hose fits better this way then what it shows in the instructions. (At least on my car it does)

Left side is a breeze. I didn't use the supplied push pin because I didn't want to cut the tower insulation so I had used a longer push pin.

My GLOC Race Pads showed up today:

IMG_2449_zpskwng61qk.jpg

R18 compound up front and R12 on the rear, which are supposed to be comparable to CarboTech XP24/ XP12 which is the combo I ran on the Boss. I plan to switch rotors to allow the compound to transfer cleanly and retain the original rotors for Stock pads/spares.

May get a chance to test these out in 10 days :)

Thanks!

Installed the GLOC Race Pads last night together with new rotors:

Second time changing the front pads, and it was a lot quicker:

1) Wiggle the rotor to back off the pads,
2) Remove top caliper bolt and insert longer bolt

IMG_2190_zpsjsvitshu.png

3) Knock out the two pins
4) Remove lower caliper bolt and slide caliper rearwards
5) Remove Rotor
6) Use piston spreader
7) Remove Pads

Re-assembly was quicker using this sequence:

1) Insert Pads
2) Slide caliper forward on top bolt and temporarily insert bottom bolt 2-3 turns
3) Push Pads rearwards to compress spring
4) Insert and secure 2 pins
5) Remove lower caliper bolt and slide caliper rearwards
6) Install Rotor
7) Slide caliper forward and install lower bolt
8) Remove long bolt and install upper Bolt

The Rear Pads are easy to switch -- pretty much the same procedure as the front Boss Brakes, but the Spring is easier to compress and the pins are easier to align.

Changing the Rotors and/or Calipers is a whole different story -- not something I'd want to do at the Track. As others have commented, the main issue is removing the emergency brake cable. I backed off the cable adjuster, but it's buried in the middle of the car above the exhaust -- tough enough on a lift with a cold exhaust..... Once the cable is removed from the lever you then need to compress the barbs on outer cable fitting on the lower side of the caliper bracket to remove the cable:

The Caliper Bolts are just like the Boss -- lot's of loctite, which I re-applied, as hopefully rear rotor switches will be infrequent -- we will see..

Will get a chance to test the Pads on Sunday :)

Went for a drive on the street to bed the rotors in. Wow! Initial bite is fantastic and feel is very progressive. Didn't get hard on the brakes yet, but in moderate street driving they are very impressive.....
Grest news. Mine should be here tomorrow and I'm also swapping to SRF. Can't wait to hear how they work at Gingerman.

Based on limited street driving, the stopping distance will be shorter -- the Race Pads inspire more confidence even though the stock pads are capable. I don't anticipate fade with the Race pads either.

Original rotors were not worn, but I wanted new rotors to bed in cleanly to the more aggressive pad compound. I will save the OEM rotors for emergency track use or if I ever revert to the stock pads.

Both OEM and the Race pads generate a lot of dust.

Also switced to Castrol SRF fluid -- given the feel of these pads, everthing is going to get hotter!
