Nick, Ford engineers cleared the SRF for use in the system? I know there were discussions to use only the Motorcraft LV DOT4

Good question and we talked about it but the fact they swapped it in the TA cars speaks volumes to me. Also interesting they had us hammering them on track with 50 miles on the odo. :-\ I will roll mine over 1000 miles before BIR in a couple weeks.

+1.

Given the my early experience on the street of Race Pad performance and the fact that the TA cars are using SRF, I figured it was good insurance to change the fluid. No one on the Track Tour went long enough to fade the stock brakes -- and to be sure they're a great street/track pad, but I'm hard on brakes and having faded the stock pads, I will not risk the fluid.....

Wally got another work out at the track today:

Ran the PSC2's all day, and the car was more neutral than at VIR -- warmer temps -- 80* -- and a track I know very well.

The race pads are a big improvement. Gingerman is the toughest track I run for brakes -- worse than RA, with 3 really heavy braking zones in quick succession -- great initial bite, fantastic feel, and no fade.

Only got 4 short sessions in due to incidents, but ran 2.6 seconds faster than the Boss with a 1:39.71 lap. I'm sure more seat time and the Hoos R7's will increase that delta....

That's impressive and I'm sure another second or two with the Hoosiers.

Pulled the wheels and tires from the car today. Looks like the PSC2's need more than 1.2* rear camber. This was after 3 hours 20 minutes of track time:

The Hoosier wear pattern after 2 hours 10 minutes looks more even -- I'll know more after VIR this weekend....

What are your thoughts? 1.5 - 1.7 degrees?

Great news on the brakes. How did the pads wear?

I have -1.3* in the rear and not sure if you can get more or not. It will be interesting to see how mine look after BIR. I will have to check with the tech to see if there was more room.

Hopefully the incidents weren't too consequential........

Are you allowed to run adjustable toe links or camber links?

Pad wear was minimal -- about 1mm after about 1 hour 10 minutes of track time.

I think there's more camber to be had on the rear, but will not check until after I see how the R7's work at VIR this weekend.

Incidents were mechanical -- 2 vettes: 1 lost a valve, the other dropped fluid....

Nick, when you think about it or have time when you swap wheels again, could you measure the front and rear sway bar end links center to center distance please. The 3 people including ford performance say the end links are the same from the R to the non R and also that the front links are the same on all GT, GT350 & GT350R. I'm pretty sure the R has .300 shorter links in the Rear.
